You should expect an audience with a wide and diversified expertise. Please, take care to properly introduce your research to make its main message understandable including for researchers that are not specialized in your field. Select figures and text in your presentation accordingly. Please remember that MedCLIVAR serves as a scientific network to promote better communication among different scientific disciplines and to develop a multidisciplinary vision of the evolution of the Mediterranean climate.

 

Guidelines for poster presentations

Poster boards (in landscape format) have dimensions of 210cm width × 150cm height. All the material necessary for attaching the poster to the poster board is available at the facility desk in the poster area. The number of each poster paper and of its corresponding poster board is given in the appropriate session programme.

All posters will be displayed for the whole duration of the conference. Authors are kindly asked to put up their posters at the beginning of the conference and take them down before leaving the conference. At the end of the conference, any remaining posters will be disposed of by the conference staff and will not be stored. The time when authors should be in attendance at their poster session is given in the programme.

 

Guidelines for oral presentations

The duration of standard oral presentations is 15 minutes, including 3 minutes for questions and discussion (e.g. a 15-minute talk should be 12 minutes of presentation + 3 minutes of discussion). The duration of invited presentations is 30 minutes, including 5 minutes for questions.

Authors are kindly asked to upload their presentations 30 minutes prior to the time block of their presentation on the computer available in the room. It will not be possible to use your own laptop. Use pdf or windows ppt file formats. Video projectors in all rooms are 4:3. Desktop computers in the rooms have Windows 10 with Office 16.. Testing your presentation will be possible on the day before, during the breaks.

 

No-shows

Inclusion of your abstract in the conference programme obliges you or one of your co-authors to present your contribution at the time and in the manner indicated. If you already know that your contribution will not be presented, you are asked to inform the organizers as soon as possible.
